These Easy Vegan Brownies are everything you want in a brownie- rich, fudgy, chewy, and chocolate-y! Best of all, they are super easy to make and require only one bowl!

What if I told you that you can have these easy vegan brownies prepared and in the oven in less than 10 minutes. That’s right, no melting chocolate or special kitchen equipment, just one bowl and a big spoon. Sounds good right? If that’s not enough to entice you, just let me describe these brownies. These easy vegan brownies are-





Yes, these easy vegan brownies are everything a brownie should be- no chocolate cake here. If you want chocolate cake, then have cake. Cake and brownies are two very different things and it took me some experimenting and a few tries to ensure that these brownies are not too cake like. They are perfect little squares of fudgy goodness. So, are we in agreement on brownie preference? All right, lets move on to the recipe.

Easy Vegan Brownie Ingredients

The ingredients you will need for this recipe are all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, white sugar, brown sugar, tapioca flour, coconut oil, dairy-free yogurt, baking powder, vanilla, non-dairy chocolate chips, and salt.

All the ingredients are pretty basic. The tapioca flour you can find at stores like whole foods and some large supermarkets. It acts as a binding agent and is a great staple to have on hand for making dairy-free sauces and desserts.

For the dairy-free yogurt, I use So Delicious Coconut Yogurt. It’s pretty easy to find and taste great! Although, I’m sure you could use your favorite dairy-free yogurt with good results.

As for the cocoa powder, I used Whole Foods brand. I’ve also used Hershey’s with good results, so just use what you have on hand.

Finally, for the non-dairy chocolate chips, I used Enjoy Life Dark Chocolate Morels. They are delicious and completely allergen free, although any non-dairy chips will work for this recipe.

How To Make Easy Vegan Brownies

Theses are the absolute easiest brownies to make that don’t come from a box! Start by adding all your dry ingredients to a large mixing bowl and mix well with a large spoon- don’t use a whisk. Haha, I know from experience, it’s too thick and the whisk will hold your batter captive!

Next, add your wet ingredients and stir until blended and then fold in half of the chocolate chips. Pour the batter into an 8×8 parchment lined baking dish. The batter is very thick, so you will have to press in down and smooth it with a spatula.

Finally, sprinkle on the rest of the chocolate chips and bake at 350 degrees for about 35 minutes or until the brownies are set. They will look slightly undone, but will firm as they cool.

If you want these brownies to cut nicely, then you must let them cool completely, about 2 hours or so. Although, I must admit that sometimes it’s nice to not worry about cutting them pretty and just enjoy them warm with your loved ones and big glass of vanilla almond milk. Choice is yours!

I really hope you try this easy vegan brownie recipe! One final thing to add- have you ever had a cosmic brownie? You know, those Little Debbie brownies with the multi-colored chips on them? I used to love those as a kid! Well these remind me of those, but only about 100 times better! I hope you enjoy!

Easy Vegan Brownies

These EASY Vegan Brownies are ulta-rich, fudgy, chewy, squares of goodness! Have them prepared and in the oven in less than 10 minutes.

  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tbsp tapioca flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup coconut oil
  • 1/2 cup yogurt non-dairy
  • 1/2 tbsp vanilla
  • 1 cup non-dairy chocolate chips


  • Heat oven to 350 degrees and line an 8×8 baking pan with parchment paper.
  • Add all dry ingredients to a large bowl and mix well with a large spoon, breaking up any lumps.
  • Stir in wet ingredients (Coconut oil, non-dairy yogurt, vanilla) until well combined.
  • Fold in half of the chocolate chips.
  • Pour batter into the prepared baking dish (batter will be very thick) and press down with a spatula. Sprinkle the rest of the chocolate chips on top.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 30-35 minutes. Brownies are done when the middle is set, but not quite firm. They will firm up as they cool.
  • Allow to cool in pan for 30 minutes and then remove brownies with parchment and allow to cool for another hour or two.
  • Cut into squares and enjoy!

Store brownies in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. 
 Warm brownies in the microwave for 10-20 seconds if desired. 
Brownies freeze well.
